China (including Hong Kong) has always been the largest consumer market for Vietnam's basa fish, but the purchasing volume for the first seven months of the year has decreased, reflecting fluctuations in consumer demand.
In the first seven months of this year, Vietnam's basa fish exports to Brazil amounted to $106 million, a year-on-year increase of 64%, and exports to the CPTPP market totaled $208 million, a year-on-year increase of 34%, with greater potential in markets such as Canada, Japan, and Malaysia.
In the first seven months of this year, exports of processed basa fish (HS16 coded products) increased by 41% to approximately $30 million.
