Through the content of the Vietnam – Singapore Trade Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding

Specifically, the Decision to adopt the content of the Memorandum of Cooperation on Rice Trade between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Singapore (abbreviated as the Memorandum). The Prime Minister authorized the Minister of Industry and Trade to sign the Memorandum on behalf of the Government of Vietnam with the authorized representative of the Republic of Singapore. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs carried out the authorization procedures according to regulations. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing (25/10/2025). The Vietnam Trade Office in Singapore reported that the export turnover of rice from Vietnam to Singapore has grown sustainably in recent years. According to statistics from the Singapore Enterprise Management Agency, Vietnam is currently the third largest rice supplier to Singapore, following India and Thailand.
