China: Tongxiang, Zhejiang issued policy-based Huyang breeding insurance policy to help prevent and control risks in the characteristic industry

On August 3, Chongfu Hemei Farm in Tongxiang City successfully signed the first provincial policy-based Huyang breeding insurance policy in Jiaxing, which indicates that the risk prevention and control capabilities of the Huyang breeding industry in Tongxiang City have been further strengthened. The insurance is underwritten by the Tongxiang Branch of China Taiping Property Insurance Co., Ltd., covering breeding rams, breeding ewes, stocked mutton sheep and lambs, and the coverage includes major diseases, epidemics and natural disasters in the process of Huyang breeding. According to the insurance terms, the compensation for dead Huyang will be based on the carcass weight. If the carcass weight is less than 5 kilograms, a fixed amount of 80 yuan will be paid, and if it is greater than or equal to 5 kilograms, the actual carcass weight will be paid, with a maximum compensation of 1,000 yuan per carcass.
