Antigua and Barbuda: Traders confirm uptrend in prices of cereals, except for durum wheat

Cereal prices rose in the national cereal market, with the exception of durum wheat, which fell in the last week of April compared to the previous week, according to the latest data compiled by the Spanish Cereal and Oilseed Trade Association (ACCOE). Corn was the cereal that rebounded the most during the past week, in line with international markets for agricultural raw materials. According to traders, it reached 256.56 euros per ton on average, compared to 246.97 euros per ton the previous week. Barley also registered significant increases: barley reached 215.44 euros -from 209.27 euros the previous week- and malting barley stood at 214 euros, with an increase of 6 euros compared to the previous week.
