Over 15,300 Danube salmon fry were introduced to rivers in Transcarpathia, with an average weight of 5.2 grams, to help increase the population of the species. The fry were raised at a trout farm funded by the state budget, which has been involved in reproduction efforts since 2017. Additionally, the Kosiv Reservoir in the Kyiv region was stocked with nearly 7 tons of herbivorous and carp species of fish.
