Turkey is a leading producer of sheep's and goat's milk, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). The country produces nearly 1.5 million tons of sheep's milk and 600 thousand tons of goat's milk, making it the first and sixth globally for these productions, respectively. The top ten countries for sheep milk production, led by India, are listed, with Sudan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan following. For goat milk, India is the leader, followed by Sudan and Bangladesh. France, Financial, Spain, South Sudan, and Greece round out the top ten for sheep and goat milk production.
