Morocco and Tunisia are the leading turkey producers in Africa, accounting for over 70% of the continent's production. In 2020, Morocco produced 81.4 thousand tons, followed by Tunisia with 80.3 thousand tons. The United States was the largest global producer with 44% of the world's turkey meat, but production has been declining for five years. Poland was the leading European producer with over 418 thousand tons in 2020. Russia and France were the third and fourth largest producers in Europe, respectively. Israel and Turkey were the largest producers in Asia. Almost all of the turkey produced in Oceania goes to Australia.
