The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply of Jordan purchased 60,000 tons of bread wheat of optional origin at an international tender on Tuesday, with a planned purchase of 120,000 tons, reported the electronic edition APK-Inform, citing its sources among market participants. The winner of the tender is the company Cargill, which will deliver the wheat between February 1 and 15, 2026, to the port of Aqaba for $262.50 per ton C&F. For comparison – at the previous successful tender for the import of bread wheat into Jordan, held 7 weeks ago, 60,000 tons were also purchased out of a planned 120,000 tons for $266 per ton C&F, and at the tender in Algeria, held also on Tuesday, the delivery of 150-170,000 tons was agreed at $263-271 per ton C&F, with expectations that a large part of the grain will arrive from countries of the European Union and the Black Sea region.
