The International Association of Operative Millers (IAOM) forecasts that Turkey is on track to break its own record by exporting 4 million tons of flour in 2024, surpassing its previous high of 3.66 million tons. This optimistic projection is based on a notable increase in Turkey's flour exports, which saw a 22% rise in January and a 60% surge in February compared to the same months last year. Over the last year, Turkey's flour exports have brought in 1.5 billion US dollars, underscoring the nation's expanding influence in the global flour trade.
