Aegean dried fruit exporters, who account for 60% of Turkey's annual dried fruit exports, are focusing on India as part of the Ministry of Trade's 'Far Countries Strategy'. The Aegean Dried Fruit and Products Exporters' Association plans to send a trade delegation to Mumbai in February 2025 to promote Turkish dried fruits and build business relationships with Indian buyers. Turkey aims to boost its presence in India's $464 million dried fruit import market, where it is currently the fourth largest supplier. This effort is part of the Turkish Dried Fruits Turquality Project, which also targets China and Russia, and includes promotional activities at the MEWA India 2025 Global Nuts and Dried Fruits Fair.
