Ukraine's agricultural sector is expected to undergo significant changes in 2023 due to ongoing conflict and logistical challenges, leading to a 45% reduction in grain crop sowing and a 60% decrease in grain harvest compared to 2021. The sown area for grain is projected to be 22% less in 2023, while oil crop sowing is expected to increase by 32% and 9% respectively from 2022 and 2021. Yield decreases of 10-30% are anticipated due to reduced fertilization and unharvested corn, resultin in an estimated grain production of 34 million tons, a 60% decrease from 2021. Oilseed production is expected to reach 19.3 million tons, a 13% increase from 2022 but a 15% decrease from 2021. The export potential for grain and oil crops for 2023/24 is approximately 35 million tons or 3 million tons per month.
