Ukraine's 2024 grain harvest is projected to decrease to 54.6 million metric tons from 60 million tons in 2023 due to unfavorable weather, with the decrease being more significant in late crops like corn and oilseeds. The country's agriculture minister expects to maintain high export levels, with an estimated 16.2 million tons of wheat and 21.7 million tons of corn to be exported in the 2024/25 season. Despite the potential decrease in harvest, the farm ministry has reported an increase in grain exports for the 2024/25 season, compared to the previous one, which was affected by the Russian invasion.
