Grain exports from Ukraine have significantly decreased, particularly concerning corn, which is linked to logistical problems.

Exports of grains and legumes from Ukraine, including their processed products, amounted to 15,431 thousand tons in the last six months, which is 29.4% less than the previous year's figure of 21,857 thousand tons, according to the Ministry of Economy. The largest drop in percentage terms affected Ukrainian corn, with a decrease of 39.1%. From July 2025, 5,957 thousand tons were sent abroad, compared to 9,779 thousand tons from July 2024 to January 3, 2025. Wheat exports fell by 19.2%, totaling 7,905 thousand tons instead of 9,783 thousand tons. Barley figures decreased by 33% to 1,319 thousand tons from 1,968 thousand tons. Rye is not one of Ukraine's key export crops, with only 200 tons exported compared to the previous result of 10.8 thousand tons.
