Ukraine's sunflower seed exports from the start of the 2022/23 season (September-February) reached a new historical high of 1.54 million tons, APK-Inform analysts reported, citing operational data. Almost 80% of the total export of oilseeds is to EU countries and 19% to Turkey. By countries, the leaders among importers are Bulgaria (429 thousand tons of sunflower were shipped in this direction; the share in total imports is 28%) and Romania (406 thousand tons; 26%). "It is worth noting that the last few months have seen a gradual decline in the export of oilseeds from Ukraine, due to a decrease in demand and importer prices against the background of sufficient supply of sunflower in Europe, especially in its eastern part.
