In 2025, sugar beet sown areas in Ukraine decreased by 15.4% compared to the previous year, from 259,000 hectares to 220,000 hectares, as reported by the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky at the Trend&Hedge Club meeting. He noted that Ukrainian processors were very disappointed with the sugar export quotas to the EU initially set in spring 2025 at 67,000 tons for the year. Currently, this volume has been increased to 107,000 tons.
