According to Volodymyr Gurzhii, the head of USPA Fruit, the main buyers of Ukrainian apples from January to June 2024 were the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, with significant purchases also made by Georgia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Romania, and Sweden. Gurzhii attributed the success of these countries as buyers to logistical issues and attacks on ships in the Red Sea, which led to delays in deliveries to Southeast Asia. The increased demand for Ukrainian apples in Central Asian markets also contributed to the higher volume of supplies to these countries.
