Ulsan and Gyeongnam Persimmon Horticultural Farmers Cooperative joins the Fruit Farmers Cooperative Association.

Ulsan Horticultural Farmers Cooperative and Gyeongnam Persimmon Horticultural Farmers Cooperative have joined the Korea Fruit Farmers Cooperative Association as members. This brings the total number of fruit-specialized cooperatives in the association to 22. The Korea Fruit Farmers Cooperative Association recently held a general meeting and announced that it unanimously approved the membership of Ulsan Cooperative (Chairman Kim Chang-gyun) and Gyeongnam Persimmon Cooperative (Chairman Gil Pan-geun). The association was established in 2001 with the aim of enhancing the competitiveness of the fruit industry by building a close cooperative system among specialized fruit cooperatives. Now in its 24th year since its founding, the association will further strengthen its nationwide organizational foundation with the expansion of its members.
