Unprecedented study reveals strategic potential of carbon stock in the Upper Paraguay Basin

The State University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UEMS), simultaneously with the Association of Mato Grosso Breeders (Acrimat), held a press conference on the last day 11 to present the results of the Carbon Stock Atlas in Vegetation Formations of the Upper Paraguay River Basin – Mato Grosso (Carbopan), a scientific research that developed and estimated the carbon stocks in the physiognomies that make up the Mato Grosso Pantanal. The study is the result of a partnership between the University, through the Center for Frontier Studies (CEFRONT), Embrapa Beef Cattle (Campo Grande-MS) and the Association of Mato Grosso Breeders (ACRIMAT).
