The panel on urban agriculture, held on Monday afternoon (10) at the AgriTalks Arena during the 30th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP30) in Belém (PA), highlighted the importance of urban gardens for collective food security and income generation. The event, which featured the participation of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa), presented four initiatives linked to the National Program for Urban and Peri-urban Agriculture. Moderated by Embrapa analyst Kelliane Fuscaldi, the panel discussed public policies aimed at adequate food. Kelliane informed that urban agriculture is a fundamental strategy for mitigating and adapting to climate change. "Urban agriculture is established as a public policy," she declared.
