USA pistachios: +90% for exports

Areté's weekly update on the trend of the pistachio markets reports how the export price of US pistachios in shell 21/25, delivered to Europe, from the lows reached in November 2023, below 7,500 dollars/ton, has recorded a 18% increase. According to Areté's analyses, if from August 2023, the arrival of the record 23/24 harvest (around 677 thousand tonnes, +70% compared to 22/23, ed.), had triggered downward pressure on prices, from the end of November 2023 the restart of demand interrupted and reversed the trend. Between September 2023 and February 2024, exports from Italy reached record levels, +90% compared to the same period of the previous campaign.
