Brazil: Vaccination against herbivore rabies in Goiás enters final stage

The Goiana Agricultural Defense Agency (Agrodefesa) warns livestock farmers that the deadline for vaccination against herbivore rabies in Goiás ends this Saturday, June 15th. All animals of the bovine, buffalo, equine (horse, mule, donkey), goat and sheep species, regardless of age, must be immunized in the 119 municipalities classified as high risk for rabies. This campaign follows the calendar established by Ordinance No. 182, of April 10, 2024. In Goiás, vaccination is carried out in two stages: the first takes place from May 1st to June 15th, and the second from November 1st to December 15th.
