Ukraine: Vegetable prices continue their August decline

Prices for vegetables at the end of August are expected to continue to decrease. The prices of carrots, potatoes and onions, whose harvesting has started or is ongoing, fell the most. Farmers who do not plan or are unable to store them sell these vegetables en masse, with the increase in supply, their price naturally decreases. This is evidenced by AgroTimes monitoring data. Thus, at the largest wholesale market in the west of Ukraine - "Shuvar", the prices of carrots in Lviv decreased by 22% - to 8-10 UAH/kg, potatoes decreased by 20% - to 7-9 UAH/kg, onions - by 15 % - up to 9-13 UAH/kg.
