The Vietnamese Trade Office in Sweden has identified a significant opportunity for Vietnamese fresh fruit and vegetable exporters in the Swedish market, due to Sweden's high demand for imported produce caused by insufficient domestic supply and adverse climatic conditions. With a decrease in imports from 2021 to 2023, the market share from developing countries, including Vietnam, has increased to 24%. There is particular demand for tropical fruits and vegetables, especially organic and sustainable products, during Sweden's off-season from October to May. The Vietnamese Commerce Office urges Vietnamese exporters to improve product quality, meet food safety and sustainability certification standards, and participate in international trade shows to increase their market share in Sweden.
