Vietnam has received approval to export passion fruit to Australia, becoming the fifth tropical fruit to be licensed to the Australian market. The country is currently exporting its fruits to over 60 countries and has focused on improving the quality and traceability of passion fruit. The Plant Protection Department will coordinate with specialized agencies to ensure compliance with plant quarantine and food safety requirements for the export of passion fruit to Australia. The trade relationship between agricultural products, including fruits, between Vietnam and Australia has seen significant development, with agricultural trade cooperation nearly doubling in the past two years.
