Vietnamese meat and meat products are primarily exported to Asian countries, with Hong Kong, China being the largest market. The export volume and value have seen mixed results compared to previous quarters. The second quarter of 2024 saw an increase in the export volume and value of various meat and meat products compared to the same period in 2023. The types of meat and meat products exported include other meat and edible meat by-products, fresh or frozen pork, and poultry meat. Vietnam is actively promoting meat and meat product exports and expects growth in the future, with a focus on products like frozen suckling pork and chicken feet. The Animal Health Bureau is also negotiating to export livestock products to several countries and increasing the number of production enterprises allowed to export.
