Vietnam's pepper exports experienced a 1.9% decline but saw a 48% increase in export value from January to October 2024, according to the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Tree Association. October's exports totaled 18,493 tons, with a value of $120.2 million, mainly to the United States. The average price of black pepper fell to $6,284 per ton, while white pepper price rose to $8,029 per ton. Despite a decrease in imports from Brazil, Indonesia emerged as the largest pepper supplier to Vietnam, with a 257% increase in imports. Additionally, Vietnam's cinnamon exports saw a 6.4% increase, reaching $220.5 million from January to October 2024, with India, the United States, and Bangladesh being the primary markets.
