Vietnam's tuna export industry has experienced mixed outcomes as of February's end, with a 53% increase in canned tuna exports and expansion to 80 destinations worldwide, up from 70 the previous year. Despite this growth, there has been a slight decline in exports of frozen tuna meat/loin and frozen steamed tuna loin by 1% and 3% respectively. Overall, tuna exports saw an 8% decrease in February, with a notable 16% drop in exports to the EU, attributed to challenges such as the IUU yellow card issue and domestic raw material shortages. However, there has been positive growth in exports to Canada, Chile, and the United States.
