Vietnam's tuna exports to Canada continue to grow in the first two months of this year

In February 2024 alone, tuna exports to this market increased by 146% compared with the same period last year. By the end of February 2024, Vietnam's tuna exports to Canada totaled nearly US$5.5 million, up 68% year-on-year. Canada mainly purchases frozen tuna meat/fillet products and canned tuna from Vietnam. Compared with the same period last year, the export volume of these two categories of products increased by 150% and 25% respectively. According to statistics from the International Trade Center (ITC), Vietnam was Canada's third largest tuna supplier in 2023, second only to Thailand and Italy.
