The sugar industry remains strategic for the agrarian sector of Vinnytsia. Four plants in the region have already processed over 2 million tons of sugar beets, producing 290 thousand tons of sugar. One of the enterprises has completed the sugar production season, while the others continue to work, ensuring stable product supplies to the market, reports "ProAgro Group." According to the Department of Agro-Industrial Development of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, farmers have almost completed field work. There remains the collection of corn on an area of about 7 thousand hectares. The average yield of the grain is 82.3 tons per hectare, which is 12 tons per hectare more than last year. In total, grain and leguminous crops in the region have been harvested on an area of 770.4 thousand hectares, with about 5.2 million tons of grain threshed. The average yield of the grain group amounted to 67.1 tons per hectare, exceeding last year's figures. Farms are already preparing the soil for the 2026 harvest, but the main focus of the season is sugar production, which demonstrates stability and high processing rates.
