A visit by the International Council boosts olive oil production in Brazil

During a visit to Rio Grande do Sul, a delegation from the International Olive Council (IOC), led by executive director Jaime Lillo, got to know the potential of Brazilian olive growing up close. The mission, which included visits to producers in Caçapava do Sul, Cachoeira do Sul and Restinga Sêca, focused on observing the quality of the olive oils produced in the state and strengthening relations with the Brazilian olive sector. At the Olival Vila do Segredo, in Caçapava do Sul, producers and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture were presented with projects and perspectives for global olive growing. Impressed by the quality of Brazilian olive oils, Lillo highlighted the entrepreneurial mindset of the producers and Brazil's potential in the sector.
