The article highlights the challenges faced by the agricultural sector in Vietnam due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting social distancing measures. These challenges include oversupply and falling prices of agricultural products, difficulty in selling livestock products, and congestion in the distribution of goods. The situation is further complicated by the closure of residential markets and the unoperational slaughter factories. To address these issues, local authorities are suggested to reopen wholesale markets and promote e-commerce. The article also emphasizes the importance of the domestic market in ensuring the production and supply of goods to the population, as the export market is currently not functioning optimally.
