Due to the presence of mines and shelling, the sowing campaign will not begin in the Kherson region this year. However, watermelons will still be grown in the region. The sowing will instead take place in the Odesa region and part of the Kirovohrad region. Small farms in Central and Western Ukraine will plant red beets, carrots, and potatoes. Many small farms are increasing their acreage for vegetables to prevent shortages and reliance on imports, as imports increase the price of goods like onions.
