The price surge was significantly concentrated in the chili and onion clusters, while the main food crop subsectors such as rice showed stable price consistency. Based on data from the Strategic Food Price Information Center (PIHPS) of Bank Indonesia, the commodity of curly red chilies recorded the highest increase of 50.33 percent to Rp80,200 per kilogram, followed by large red chilies moving up towards Rp98,000 per kilogram.
