Winter in Ukraine is in a state of hibernation – Ukrhydrometeorological Center

During the first decade of December, winter crops in most areas of Ukraine were in a state of winter dormancy, and no threatening phenomena for the overwintering of winter and fruit crops were observed across the country. This is stated in the decadal review of the Ukrhydrometeorological Center, reports APK-Inform. It is noted that on the coldest days of the decade, the minimum soil temperature at the tillering node depth (3 cm) of winter crops and perennial grasses in most regions dropped to 0°C - minus 2°C, in some areas of the western and southern regions - to plus 1-2°C.
