Drought is once again worrying producers in Rio Grande do Sul. Although the forecast indicates rain in the coming days, farmers in the northern half of the state report more than 20 days of dry weather, with significant losses mainly in corn in the flowering phase and newly planted soybeans. Some crops already show consolidated losses, a scenario that repeats for the sixth consecutive crop in various locations. The recorded images show severely compromised areas, reflecting the worsening situation. The greatest damage is concentrated in corn, which has already entered the ear formation stage. Even with the return of rain, this phase is sensitive and does not allow recovery of the productive potential.
