Source: thesaigontimes.vn The Vietnam Timber and Forest Products Association has made a proposal to the Ministry of Finance and related departments and agencies regarding the exemption of taxes on primary forest products. Along with this, it is proposed to recognize primary agricultural products from crops as exempt from value-added tax and to allow primary processed products from planted forests to be taxed according to the provisions in Decree 209/2013/NĐ-CP of the Government detailing and guiding the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Value-Added Tax, reported by TTXVN. According to the association's proposal, enterprises processing and exporting products should not be taxpayers and should not be refunded taxes to reduce procedural burdens, capital costs for businesses.
