[Agricultural, Fisheries, and Livestock Newspaper=Reporter Nara Park] In order to reduce pest and disease damage to nightshade farms and to alleviate labor burdens, Yesan County has been actively implementing drone-based pest control operations for nightshade trees since early August. According to the county on the 7th, the drone pest control period for nightshade farms runs from the 6th to the 22nd, targeting 19 farms covering 39 hectares in areas such as Sanggari and Okgye-ri in Deoksan-myeon. This initiative involves the precise spraying of effective agents against major pests such as the nightshade borer, brown-winged planthopper, and mites using aerial drones. This method allows for efficient pest control even in hard-to-reach areas such as highlands and steep slopes, reducing labor and improving the quality of pest control.
