Traderex Ghana Limited offers premium quality yellow and white maize ideal for both processing and consumption purpose. This company sources a total of four types of maize through the Ghana Commodities Exchange (GCX) from major growing areas in the country. These conventionally sourced grains are available in four grades and Grade wise specifications are as follows:
Grade 1: In this type of grains the moisture content is 13%, total defected grains are 4.5% (damaged grain by insects - 1%, rotten, diseased and discolored grains - 2.5%, immature/shriveled grains – 1%), maximum broken grains are 2%, foreign matters are 0.5%, inorganic matter are maximum 0.25% and absolute no infestation.
Grade 2: In this type of grains the moisture content is 13%, total defected grains are 10% (damaged grain by insects - 3%, rotten, diseased and discolored grains - 5%, immature/shriveled grains – 2%), maximum broken grains are 4%, foreign matters are 1%, inorganic matter are maximum 0.50% and absolute no infestation.
Grade 3: In this type of grains the moisture content is 13%, total defected grains are 14.5% (damaged grain by insects - 5%, rotten, diseased and discolored grains - 6.5%, immature/shriveled grains – 3%), maximum broken grains are 6%, foreign matters are 1.5%, inorganic matter are maximum 0.75% and absolute no infestation.
Grade 4: In this type of grains the moisture content is 13%, total defected grains are 22% (damaged grain by insects - 7%, rotten, diseased and discolored grains - 10%, immature/shriveled grains – 5%), maximum broken grains are 10%, foreign matters are 3%, inorganic matter are maximum 1.50% and absolute no infestation.
Both white and yellow maize is 98% pure and free from any foreign odor. Durability is between 9 to 12 months. The samples of every grade are available upon request by prospective buyers.
