The storage facilities are covered and are equipped with temperature controls. The chia seeds are packed into 25 kg PP bags to avoid any moisture to enter the bags. The products are ready for shipping in 2 to 4 weeks from payment confirmation. The most common way to export overseas is by marine freight. The quality assurance procedure used by the company is the GAFTA sampling method. GAFTA is the Grain and Feed Trade Association which proposes various types of analysis for grains and cereals. The production area is located in Acatic region of Mexico. The processing plant spreads across an area of 500 m². The average annual production yield is 1200 MT. The harvest season starts from December and goes up to March. The production process involves the use of gravitation machinery and electronic separator machines. The gravity machine separates impurities from the chia seeds by gravity. The cultivation methods can be conventional, organic or inactivated. The producing region is famous for the production of chia seed and is related to the historical origin of Chia. The production, harvest, processing, packaging utilizes more than 100 of workers.

Rocio de Carmen Torres offers chia seeds which can be organic, conventional or inactivated. Their chia seed is best suited for consumption as it is, baking and also for further industrial processing such as making oil.
