Description
The average yield of sesame seeds is 10000 -20000 metric tons per annum. Their harvest season starts from October and goes on till May. Revv Global Services Limited sources its sesame seeds from farms in Nigeria which is the second-largest exporter of sesame seeds in Africa. The seeds are cultivated using natural methods of cultivation. The germination of sesame is done in the soil which has a temperature of 70ºF at planting depth. Physiological maturity normally occurs 90 - 110 days after the planting and normally dries down in 130 - 160 days, depending on variety and climatic condition. Harvesting is done when many leaves have dropped off. The sesame seeds are cleaned and sun-dried after harvesting before packing and storing them.
