The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has given Afrotropic Cocoa Processing Company Limited the green light to import 3,500 tonnes of cocoa beans from Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria. This decision comes amid concerns over a decrease in Ghana's cocoa production, the second largest globally, due to illegal mining activities. The company is required to provide shipment details and secure necessary authorizations before proceeding with the importation.
