High Demand and Supply Shortages Lead Indian Okra Price Surges by 105% MoM - Tridge

The wholesale price of fresh okra in India has skyrocketed by 105% MoM to USD 0.39/kg in W3 Sep-22. Heavy rains have impacted the quality and quantity of okra. The seasonal demand for vegetables during the Pitru Paksha holiday, which runs from September 10 to September 25, has also increased the demand for Indian okra.

Price of Raw Cashew Kernel in Ghana Jumped by 67% WoW Due to High Demand - Tridge

The wholesale price of raw cashew kernel (RCN) in Ghana has increased to USD 0.5/kg in W3 Sep-22, a 67% WoW price surge after 5 months price remained at a downward trend. High demand for Ghanaian raw cashew in India due to the upcoming Deepavali season.

Thai Pineapple Wholesale Prices Climb by Almost 24% YoY Due to Lower Supply - Tridge

The wholesale price of fresh pineapple in Thailand (Pathum Thani) escalated by 23.79% YoY to USD 0.45/kg in W2 of September 22, compared to the same period last year when it was USD 0.34/kg due to the limited pineapple supply.


Higher Sugar Production in Brazil Drives Down Prices by 12% WoW - Tridge

The wholesale price of sugar in Brazil has recorded a decline for two consecutive weeks. In W36, the price stood at USD 0.69/kg and declined slightly to USD 0.67/kg in W37. The price has plummeted to USD 0.59/kg in W38 2022, down by 12% WoW. This is owing to the Brazilian sugar supply has surged.


Price of Fresh Grapes Plummet by 43% MoM after Intense Summer Heat Waves - Tridge

The wholesale price for the Muscat Hamburg grape variety in France plummeted 42% YoY and 43% MoM coming into W37. It went down to USD 2.45/kg in the Rungis wholesale market. The price decrease is due to the lower quality and size of the current harvest after heat waves with intensive droughts in the summer months.

Coffee Prices in Vietnam Hike Up by 11% MoM Due to Concern of Global Supply Shortage - Tridge

The wholesale price of Vietnamese coffee has climbed by 11% MoM to USD 2.06/kg in W5 Aug-22. Vietnamese coffee price has remained on an upward trend due to concerns about supply shortages from producing markets.
