On January 15, 2024, pepper prices remained stable in the global market, with countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, and Vietnam reporting no new fluctuations. Domestically, the price of pepper in Vietnam also remained stable, with the highest level reaching 81,000 VND/kg. The decrease in domestic pepper supply is attributed to low crop productivity, reduced crop interest rates, and the shift of many farmers to growing other crops such as durian, while the global pepper output is forecasted to be unfavorable due to bad weather.
