On January 30, 2024, Indonesia's Lampung black pepper and Muntok white pepper prices saw a slight increase, reaching 3,864 USD/ton and 6,092 USD/ton respectively. Meanwhile, pepper prices in other countries like Malaysia, Brazil, and Vietnam remained stable. The domestic market also experienced a slight increase in pepper prices. However, the US saw a decrease in pepper imports by 30.1% as of November 2023. The International Pepper Community (IPC) forecasts a 7.1% decrease in Indonesian pepper output for 2023.
