A sectoral trade delegation was organized by the Turkish Black Sea Nuts and Products Exporters' Association to India. India is one of the world's largest nut markets and imports approximately USD 1.3B of cashews, USD 1B of almonds, and USD 200M of pistachios annually, but its hazelnut imports remain 600MT at USD 3.8M, significantly lower compared to competing products. With the introduction of Turkish hazelnuts and hazelnut products in India, exports to this country are expected to increase in the near future.

The peanut crop in the interior of São Paulo is growing. According to the Peanut Sectorial Chamber, the expectation is that production exceeds 1M tons, a growth of 20% compared to 2022, being the best harvest in recent years. Brazil hopes to increase peanut production in 2023, with the support of international partners, the growth in demand for chocolate, and recognition of the nutritional properties of the product. The weather is one of the factors that favored the increase.
