In W36 in the mandarin landscape, in South Korea, the overall expected production volume of tangerine in the Jeju region is around 452.1 thousand tons, a 4% decrease from the average production of 477 thousand tons over the past five years. The expected volume of tangerine output was determined using 13.8 thousand hectares (ha) of the total cultivated area of 14.4 thousand ha, excluding non-producing regions. A quality study found a similar sugar level of 7.0 Brix and an acid content of 3.61%, both greater than the prior and average years. The Urban and Rural Development Institute plans to conduct a third observational survey in November to calculate the final production estimate.

Idecam reported a decline in the export of fresh Peruvian mandarins in Jul-23, amounting to 35.3 thousand tons, valued at USD 44 million. This represented a 43% decrease in volume and a 34% decrease in value. Peruvian mandarin shipments decreased in the United States (with a 54% drop in volume and a 47% drop in value), the United Kingdom (with a 35% drop in volume and a 24% drop in value), and Canada (with a 42% drop in volume and a 33% drop in value).

Lastly, South Africa's citrus fruit industry is experiencing high demand for clementines and mandarins. However, marketing challenges arise due to the high proportion of large fruit and limited availability of sizes I and II, which are particularly suitable for bulk marketing. Despite these challenges, the long-term trend in the clementine and mandarin industry is positive, with increased cultivation in recent years, especially for easy-peel varieties like Nadorcott or Tango, as noted by Eggemann.
