Tanzanian farmers agreed to sell 5,219MT of standard-grade raw cashew nuts at the auction conducted on November 13 by the RUNALI cooperative union in the Nachingwea district. The highest bid price was USD 0.87/kg, and the lowest bid offer was USD 0.84/kg.
Tanzania: Extension of the 2022/23 Raw Cashew Nut Season in Tanzania Due to Cold Weather (Nov 14)
The 2022-2023 raw cashew nut season in Tanzania is expected to be extended by around three weeks until W48. The extension is due to the cold weather that delays nut maturity as well as the unsuccessful first two auctions due to low prices. The season was originally scheduled to close on January 13, 2023, but due to the extension, it would instead be closed on January 27, 2023.

China: Output Value of Macadamia Nuts in China Should Reach USD 30.66M This 2022 (Nov 14)
One of China's macadamia planting locations, in Longzhou County, will have 10,050ha of macadamia nuts planted in 2022. The estimated yield in 2022 will reach over 18K tons. The market price should range from USD 1.39-1.59/kg (RMB 9.8-11.2/kg), according to the Longzhou County Nut Association. By the end of 2022, the output value should reach USD 30.66M (RMB 216M).

Ukraine: Exports of Walnut From Ukraine Will Increase This Year (Nov 19)
In the 2022/23 season, the export of walnuts from Ukraine will increase by almost 60% to 95K tons according to the Tree Nuts report of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). At the same time, nut production in Ukraine is forecast to drop by 17% to 96K tons due to a sharp reduction in acreage in certain areas of Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions after the Russian invasion in February 2022.
