Brazilian Melon Exports Dropped in November 2022 (Dec 20)

Brazilian melon exports tend to increase due to larger orders before the end of the year, but it was not the case in 2022. Exports in November amounted to only 27K tons, a decrease of 23% compared to October and a 44% YoY drop.

The Winter Watermelons in the Serik District of Antalya Were Harvested in December (Dec 22)

In the Serik district of Antalya, where Turkey's largest greenhouse cultivation is carried out, the winter watermelon planted in September was harvested in December. While watermelon production has become widespread in the winter season, it has become a new source of income for producers. The average price of Turkish greenhouse watermelons in December stood at USD 0.53/kg (TRY 10/kg).
