South Korean crab prices rose 8% in weekly terms in early August, but remain inside a KRW 4,700/kg - KRW 6,000/kg range since mid-May, after touching levels above KRW 10,000/kg two times earlier in the spring. This relative price stability is the result of typical slower demand in the summer. Meanwhile, South Korean imports of frozen crab climbed by double-digit rates in H1 2022, as imports from Russia soared.
