The wholesale price of fresh Atlantic salmon in Spain rose by +25.8% YoY to 8.18 USD/KG in W2 December 2021. As a country that consumes fish regularly, the frequency of fish consumption in Spain is increasing. Spain relies on salmon imports from Norway amounting to 430.47M USD in 2020. However, the increasing demand for salmon this year has made salmon exports from Norway to Spain increase. This also opens an opportunity for world salmon suppliers to increase their export share to Spain. Moreover, the price that remains high in the country will benefit suppliers.
